NYIGF Tabletop Division Refined & Reorganized for Summer 2011

White Plains, NY – The Tabletop division of the New York International Gift Fair® (NYIGF®) has been refined and reorganized for the summer 2011 New York International Gift Fair® (NYIGF®), August 14-18, 2011, at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. Enhancements for the division include a purer concentration of specialty tabletop resources, a new layout of the exhibit hall and an influx of new and returning suppliers to the marketplace.

“The breadth and depth of our specialty tabletop resources will increase dramatically this August,” said Dorothy Belshaw, NYIGF director and GLM senior vice president. “The introduction of The Gourmet Housewares Show to NYIGF this summer allows us to better categorize tabletop and housewares resources, and construction in the Javits Center’s 3A and 3B Halls provides an opportunity to create a dynamic new floor plan for this division.”

The Tabletop division’s new layout positions Michael Aram, Vietri and Vagabond House at the entry, and Kim Seybert, Juliska, Bodrum and Mariposa in key up-front locations. At the same time, some repositioning of relevant exhibitors in NYIGF’s General Gift division (Andrea by Sadek, Jonathan Adler, Tissage Moutet and Claude Dezorme) and Accent on Design® division (Alessi, ASA Selection, Blomus, Built, Chilewich, OXO, Royal VKB (Wabnitz Editions), Stelton and Umbra) will create groupings of dynamic industry leaders, as well as shopping efficiencies for buyers. A number of leading tabletop brands will return to NYIGF following a hiatus from the market. Dartington Crystal (a U.K. manufacturer of glass and crystal barware) returns following a decade-long absence from the New York Market; and Royal Copenhagen (featuring a brand new porcelain dinnerware collection) and TAG-Trade Associates Group (home décor, tabletop, textiles, seasonal/holiday gifts) both return after a 5 year absence from the Fair. CE Corey (hand decorated dinnerware from Portugal) also will return after a brief absence.

In addition, Belleek Pottery Ltd (crystal and pottery lines from Ireland); Make International Ltd. (contemporary tabletop products from the United Kingdom); Mottahedeh & Company (featuring its Mottahedeh, Robert Haviland & C. Parlon Limoges and Milestones by Mottahedeh brands); and Romanov Collection (handmade luxury crystal tableware from Europe) all will exhibit for the first time at NYIGF.

Beyond these new additions to market, several long-time exhibitors – Bodrum, Europe 2 You, Frances Stoia, Michael Aram and II Sisters – also will expand their exhibit space this August. NYIGF’s Tabletop division presents some 200 leading brands and innovative new resources in glassware, serveware, dinnerware, cutlery/flatware, table linens, barware and wine accessories. These suppliers, coupled with the another 150 high-end kitchenware suppliers exhibiting in The Gourmet Housewares Show at NYIGF, will create a dynamic concentration of 350 resources for table and kitchen at the summer market.

NYIGF is the nation’s premier gift, home and lifestyle marketplace, with 2,800+ exhibiting companies featuring an extraordinary breadth and depth of design-driven home fashion products and complementary giftware. Some 35,000 attendees from all 50 states and more than 85 countries worldwide are expected. Information and registration is available online at www.nyigf.com.
