On a Mission to Boost the Cathedral Gift Shop
Worcester, UK – A NEW manager has been appointed to run the gift shop at Worcester Cathedral.
The shop is an important source of income towards the £3,500-a-day running and maintenance costs of this priceless architectural legacy and centuries-old place of worship. James Pertwee takes on the post with more than 30 years of retail experience behind him.
Mr Pertwee hails from Canterbury where he owned and ran his own music shop for 15 years before moving to York where he became general manager at the country’s largest and oldest music store, Banks of York, which sold musical instruments, sheet music and recordings.
