West Ossipee, NH – Patti and Ken Dumas have been making homemade ice cream at their parlor Bobby Sue’s in Freedom. Now they’ve opened a sweet shop and fudge factory named Pattikens in West Ossipee.

They started selling fudge at their ice cream parlor a few years ago but now their new shop, opened in April, is completely devoted to fudge and other sweet treats. Patti says Ken surprised her with the shop on Valentines Day. “[Ken] handed me the keys to this place and he said, ‘Most women get a box of chocolates for Valentines Day but you get a whole sweet shop.'”

At Pattikens they make all of their own fudge, and, as Ken says, “We have such a variety of flavors.” On the day of this reporter’s visit, Patti was in the back whipping up a fresh batch of creamsicle fudge.
