Peking Handicraft Launches Kitchen-Related Line with New Licensee
San Francisco, Calif. — During the 2011 winter market season, Peking Handicraft, Inc., an international manufacturer and wholesaler of high quality home decor, tabletop and giftware items, introduced a new line by licensee Ellen Crimi Trent. Trent’s designs for Peking Handicraft are done in five colorful designs. All the styles boast a whimsical look, using bright, bold colors and a fanciful duck adorned in a chef’s hat. Further charming details include some of the ducks donning aprons and holding standard cooking utensils such as a whisk. The classic statements “Sugar and Spice,” “Kiss the Cook,” “Bon Appetit,” “What’s Cookin’?” and “Never Trust a Skinny Cook,” enhance the look of all aprons and kitchen towels found in each style. All of the designs are offered in four coordinating pieces: standard apron, half apron, kitchen towel, and pot holder. Retail cost for products in the line range between $7.00 and $20.00.
Trent, based in Massachusetts, draws her inspiration from magazines, books, movies, fashion, nature, and her family. Her vast experience in licensing her designs includes work with many well-respected companies within the gift and home industry. She has also worked directly with stores like JCPenny and Fred Meyer, for which she created successful lines of goods ranging from ceramics to bedding to ornaments and much more.1
These and other new Peking Handicraft creations have debuted throughout the 2011 winter market show season and can be found on the company’s website, www.pkhc.com.
