Personalizing gifts in WiltonBy Michael BrownTheHour.com

What began as a friendship eventually led to a business endeavor in the form of The Signature Style Shop in Wilton. The shop, which opened late last year, is a gift shop that specializes in custom monogramming and embroidering.

The Signature Style Shop at 94 Old Ridgefield Road began as a small operation and has grown into a gift shop carrying more than 1,100 unique items, said Nash.

“We wanted to start small with the way the economy was,” Nash said. “But now that we know people like what we do we are trying to expand.”

Although the two had initially anticipated doing about 50 percent of their business through their website, Signaturestyleshop.com, the retail store has gained a large following. Over the holiday season the store sold more than 3,000 items, said Nash.
