Pet Age announces Cheryl Pedersen as Woman of Influence
Poochie‐Pets‘ founder, Cheryl Pedersen, has been recognized as one of Pet Age’s 2016 Women of Influence in the Pet Industry. The business‐to‐business publication’s second annual award is based on honoring outstanding leaders in the pet industry who have demonstrated a commitment to excellence in their organizations, communities, and the pet industry as a whole. “It is an honor to be recognized among very significant women leaders in the pet industry,” said Pedersen. “I thank the Pet Age panel for acknowledging our small company and the contributions that we have made over the years, both in providing problem‐solving products and also through our community‐minded efforts.”
In 2005, Pedersen formed her company after creating the first‐of‐its‐kind dog doorbell, PoochieBells. Designed as a communications tool for dogs to ring at potty time, PoochieBells alert the dog’s owner it’s time to be let out. With retail venues that span the United States, Canada, and a European distributor, PoochieBells have become a household name. Focusing on providing innovative products, Poochie‐Pets is dedicated to providing excellence in and personalized customer service. Inspired by man’s best friend, the company’s moto is “Your dog makes you a better person.”
