Powerhouse Brands to Debut at Las Vegas Market

Four powerhouse brands within the design industry will open showrooms within Las Vegas Design Center at World Market Center in time for the Winter 2013 Las Vegas Market, scheduled January 28-February 1: Christopher Guy, Stanley Furniture, Julian Chichester/Mr. Brown and Norwalk Furniture. These four new-to-market showrooms encompass more than 26,000 square feet and are located on the first two floors of Building A.

2013 is slated to be a milestone year for Las Vegas Design Center (LVDC), already regarded as the region’s premier resource for many of the best and most sought after design brands and the home of two bi-annual home furnishings markets. According to Paul Watson, vice president of LVDC, 2013 is shaping up to be a banner year that brings some of the most exciting, innovative and well-respected design names to the 40-plus showroom center that caters to the interior design trade.

“Las Vegas Design Center is currently experiencing a renaissance with the enhancement and diversification of its upper end resources to our already strong offering,” said Watson. “These new brands each bring a unique design aesthetic and perspective to LVDC. We are thrilled to welcome each new showroom to LVDC, which is fast earning a reputation as the largest and most comprehensive design center in the west.”

These brands join the center’s existing design stars open year-round, including Robert Allen Beacon Hill, Global Views, Four Hands, Capel Rugs, Palecek, and multi-line showroom LMS Design Group.

World-renowned Christopher Guy will open an 8,184 square-foot showroom on the first floor of Building A, A100.

Originally known for a wide-range of decorative mirrors, the Christopher Guy brand has grown into a collection of upholstery, chairs, dining tables, sofas, headboards, office furniture and more.

Next door, bellwether manufacturer Stanley Furniture is set to open two new showrooms in A109 and A110 totaling 11,549 square feet, the company’s first trade showroom expansion west of the Mississippi. The leading designer and manufacturer is known for its creation of wood residential furniture for every room of the home including dining, bedroom, home office and home entertainment.

British manufacturer Julian Chichester will debut a 2,693 square-foot showroom for its Mr. Brown line in A133. Julian Chichester is a world renowned British designer. The Chichester point of view can readily be seen in each and every one of his pieces and is a perfect interpretation of British style with a distinct historical undertone.

Upholstered furniture leader Norwalk Furniture is launching a 4,194 square-foot showroom on the second floor of Building A. Norwalk Furniture offers classic designs, over 850 fabrics and leathers, and highly customizable offerings all made in the USA.

In between Las Vegas Markets, LVDC is open Monday through Friday, 10am to 5pm and serves as a valuable resource for the local and regional interior design trade that also includes year-round networking events, educational seminars and programming.

These four new showrooms will be joined by several other major brands scheduled to open later in 2013, making LVDC the premier west coast destination for interior designers and retailers seeking the best in design. For more information, visit www.lvdesigncenter.com.
