Primitives by Kathy Appoints New Chief Operating Officer

Primitives by Kathy announces that Eric Pritchard has been appointed Chief Operating Officer, a new position within the fast-growing gift and home décor company. Pritchard joins Kathy Phillips, Chief Executive Officer in leading the growth and market strategy for Primitives by Kathy.

Pritchard has over 25 years of award-winning senior leadership experience with focus on strategic alignment,
transformational leadership and new business development. Most recently, he was Senior Vice President, Performance Excellence at Harland Clarke Holdings, Inc., spearheading entry into new markets and specializing in business development and operational excellence. He was a Commissioned Officer in the United States Army and received his Bachelors in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and Economics from the University of Notre Dame.

2017 marks the 20th anniversary for Primitives by Kathy creating original gift and home décor items to serve the growing industry. Recent additions in 2017 include socks, macramé wall hangings, luxe textiles and home accents.
Kathy Phillips, CEO, started the company with one handmade product out of her home in 1997, and has remained at the helm driving product development and market entry since the beginning. Now, Kathy and over 150 employees at Primitives by Kathy welcome Pritchard to the team as a visionary leader who will inspire the company to new places – all the while holding true to the creative passion and commitment to customers that has driven the company since the beginning.
