Wichita, KS – Ever wonder where all those cute/funny/corny signs in gift shops come from?

At least some of them come from a small Wichita sign operation called Saltbox Signs.

The eight employees, not including owners Rhonda and Del Savoy, produce nearly 200 signs a day on the joy of spending time at the beach, the wonder of grandchildren, the pleasure of wine and the challenge of living with cats – 3,500 sayings or designs in all. Last year, it shipped 55,000 to 60,000 signs.

At the firm’s West Douglas site, they cut and stain the sign blanks, create the sayings on computer and electronic stencil cutter, paint the sayings on, and ship the signs out.
