Crown Point, IL – Meraki is a Greek word meaning to do something with soul creativity or love — to put something of yourself into your work.

Meraki owner Gail Boudreau chose the name for her business, the newest addition to the Old Lake County Courthouse shops, to reflect her ideals and those of the other artisans whose crafts are sold there.

“My inspiration for Meraki came from many shops and boutiques I’ve seen in my travels, from England to the back roads of Tennessee to right here in Crown Point,” Boudreau said.
