Small Tykes Get Big Attention During Summer Las Vegas Market

(LAS VEGAS) — The juvenile product category is increasingly important to home furnishings dealers and designers, with little kids playing a big part in controlling their parents’ spending and shopping habits.

World Market Center Las Vegas has big plans for the juvenile category during the July 2008 Las Vegas Market, July 28-Aug. 1, including an exclusive educational program offering, a chance to learn about new research and the first-ever “Vegas Kids for Grownups” Cocktail Reception. These events will take place in the Vegas Kids showroom on the ninth floor of Building A, which features nearly a dozen trend-setting manufacturers who specialize in the growing juvenile product category.

The Summer Market represents the most comprehensive juvenile programming to date at World Market Center Las Vegas, according to Dana Andrew, Vice President of Marketing & Public Relations for World Market Center Las Vegas.

“Juvenile furniture and furnishings represents an extremely important category and we are committed to building a one-stop shopping environment for both juvenile retailers and other buyers who purchase these types of products,” Andrew said. “Parents are more informed than ever about what their kids want and about what choices might influence early childhood development. This influences the way they shop, and as a Market, it is important for us to offer premier programming in this important arena.”
