SnapRetail Rings in The New Year With Promotions

Eight SnapRetail employees welcomed in the new year with recent promotions, while the company continues to experience other successes.

Suzy Teele, formerly SnapRetail’s chief marketing officer, is now the first chief operating officer at SnapRetail. She is responsible for all strategic and tactical aspects of software development, marketing and sales, in addition to supporting a team that includes product strategy, product management, engineering, marketing, public relations, merchandising, sales and partner relationships.

Tara Ronel has been promoted from senior director of product management to a new position, vice president of products. Ronel has been a driving force in the development of the SnapRetail product, and she will now lead the overall software strategy, implementation and product roadmapping.

Traci Tarquinio has been promoted from director of merchandising to a new position, vice president of partner programs. Tarquinio has a proven history of establishing, nurturing and growing partner relationships, and she will now be responsible for all partner programs, including relationships with vendors, resellers, marketing groups and affiliates.

Other promotions include Ian Paterson, from lead developer to director of engineering; Justin Shoup, from customer support manager to director of customer support; Dan Slezak, from finance analyst to finance manager; Brittany Martin, from business development specialist to product manager; and Dan Aluise, from IT support to IT administrator.

In addition to the recent promotions, SnapRetail celebrates its 2012 accomplishments. The company was named as a finalist for Pittsburgh’s Tech50 for the second year in a row and was selected by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette as one of the top places to work in Pittsburgh. And in October 2012, SnapRetail moved to a new facility in Pittsburgh’s historic Strip District, allowing the company to work more closely to those it serves.

In September 2012, SnapRetail made another decision that would allow it to concentrate on its core business of providing an online marketing solution for local store owners. It divested a services business, now called Core Elements, which provides IT and marketing services to sales agencies in the gift and home industry.
