Second store in the works at River Shores; Specialty food and gift shop prepping for May opening
Peter Koehn, owner of KP Construction, completes a measurement for a suspended ceiling installation at the construction site for Savoring Thyme, a new gourmet food, home and garden supply shop at the River Shores urban redevelopment site. The new store, owned by West Bend resident Jeanne Renick, is the second retail business set to open at the high-profile redevelopment of the West Bend Co. site downtown.
Just two weeks ago, Imagine Coffeehouse and Catering Co. became the first retail venture to open at Dixon Development’s high-profile River Shores urban redevelopment project, providing a key milestone in its ongoing efforts to fashion the former manufacturing site as a premier retail and residential corridor.
By early- to mid-May, Rick and Lisa Matenaer’s coffee shop will be joined at the former West Bend Co. site by Savoring Thyme LLC, a newly established gift shop that plans to sell gourmet foods, home and gardening supplies and other seasonal merchandise.
