St. Regis Gift Shop to Host 50th Anniversary Celebration
St. Regis, MT – Everyone is invited to attend a celebration of 50 years in business at St. Regis Gift Shop’s annual holiday party this Thursday, December 6 from 5 pm- 9 pm. Guest will receive $10 off every $50 in purchases, complimentary refreshments, appetizers, desserts and the chance to win gifts and additional discounts. Owner Muffy Bullock says, “Our family is fortunate to be celebrating 50 years of operating a business we love. We are even more blessed that it lets us live in beautiful western Montana.”
Bullock said the party is “an evening out on the town—Mineral County-style” and that the gift shop will give away gifts including candles, jewelry, scarves and more. She added that as the grand prize, one lucky winner will get their entire purchase for free. She encourages guests to remember the spirit of the season and to please bring non-perishable food items to support Mineral County Food Bank.
Purchased in 1962 by Jack, Rex and Marie Lincoln, the original gift shop featured western apparel and cowboy boots, moccasins and handmade Indian jewelry, Montana copper, souvenirs and of course a free live trout aquarium. Jack opened the shop in February and ran it for 16 days before he made his first sale. Bullock said, “We’re sure thankful for Dad’s perseverance!” The store has been expanded and remodeled and the product mix has changed over the years but visitors can still expect to enjoy the free live trout aquarium and the friendly western Montana service that have made it a favorite stop for generations of travelers.
