Gift shop expands, more on the wayBy Steve SnyderLebanon Daily News

CLEONA — Just four months after moving into a new home, Stewart’s Gift Peddler has already expanded.

Previously located next to the business’s greenhouse at 1724 N. Seventh St., where the business opened in 1991, the gift shop moved to the Cleona Square shopping center in November. It is located at the north end of the east strip, near Big Lots.

While it was on North Seventh Street, Stewart’s Gift Peddler had limited days and hours; the new shop is open every day, except holidays.

Earlier this month, a wall was knocked out, enabling the shop to double in size, manager Kathy Firestine said. A full wall of Yankee candles and Gund and Boyd’s Bears teddies and collectibles are among the items located in the new section.

“We’ve been able to expand a lot of our lines and give the greenhouse more space,” owner Lori Stewart Horne said. “The greenhouse will open April 9th or 10th.”
