Sweet Shop Celebrates Five-Year Anniversary
Los Altos, CA – When Stacy Savides Sullivan opened the Sweet Shop at 994 Los Altos Ave. Aug. 26, 2009, she had one overriding goal in mind for her new business venture: Do more than just sell candy.
“It was really important for us from the beginning that we were more than just a place for sweets,” said Sullivan of her shop, the former home of Foodland. “This is a community gathering place.”
Five years later, Sullivan believes she’s achieved that goal. What started as a simple neighborhood stop for candy, cookies, ice cream and other treats has turned into a community destination point for local residents and students at nearby schools. The shop has been the site of countless birthday parties, coffee gatherings and even first dates for Los Altos residents of all ages.
