Summit sisters own downtown sweet shopBy Independent PressNJ.com

Summit — Sweet Nothings, at 26 Beechwood Road, is owned and operated by two Summit sisters, Elisa Brooks and Donna Puzella. The store stocks fine chocolates, truffles, candies, gourmet foods and eclectic and useful gift items. The sisters have also acquired a reputation for creating beautifully packaged gifts, gift baskets and party favors.

“Easter centerpieces can offer a dual purpose,” the sisters said. “They should be visually appealing and can also serve as a teaser for what’s to come at dessert time. For example, Sweet Nothings sells amazingly delicious and beautiful Easter petits fours. These little works of art can be displayed on a covered pedestal dish on your table, making for a colorful centerpiece, and then at the end of the meal, they make a heavenly dessert. Or take a glass bowl or basket, fill it with some Easter grass and sprinkle in Easter chocolates – foil-wrapped eggs, bunnies, chicks, jelly beans and foil-wrapped pansies. Not only will this look pretty, but it’s almost effortless to put together and guests can help themselves to bits of chocolate at dessert time.”
