Tecumseh, MI – Ever since she was a teenager, Lynnette Ferguson-Ruple has enjoyed giving old furniture new life by repainting it to create a whole different look. Then “a real job” and raising a family took precedence for a number of years, until she finally decided it was time to pursue her artistic interests again.

“You just have to get back to what you love,” she said.

So, last summer, she began selling her creations at what was then the Whistle Stop in downtown Tecumseh. And by December, she had teamed up with two other vendors there, Angela Roulo-Bangert and Elise Cabello, to take over the shop and go into business for themselves.
