Tervis “Cheers” For John Ratzenberger

Tervis® says “Cheers” to America’s favorite mailman John Ratzenberger during The Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market. Ratzenberger is the guest of honor at a meet and greet event Thursday, January 9 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the Tervis showroom Suite #840, Building 2.

Guests will have the opportunity to meet Ratzenberger and have their photos taken with him. They also are invited to browse the Tervis showroom while enjoying cocktails.

Ratzenberger is no stranger to made-in-America manufacturers like Tervis. He produced and hosted “Made in America,” a show for the Travel Channel, wrote a book entitled We’ve Got it Made in America: A Common Man’s Salute to an Uncommon Country, and is now in the process of developing a new show: “John Ratzenberger’s American Made.” The show will feature the best in today’s American made companies, including small batch local manufacturers, hip new brands, and the household names we all know and love. In fact, Tervis will be featured in one of the first episodes!

“I’m excited to be working with Tervis and to feature their company on my new TV show. Couldn’t be a nicer group of people helping to spread the message that in order to keep America strong we have to support American manufacturing,” says Ratzenberger, who’s also known for his role as Cliff, the lovable postal carrier on “Cheers” and has had a voice part in Pixar’s entire lineup of feature films to date, including Cars, A Bug’s Life, and Toy Story I, II, and III.

“Purchasing products in the US ensures that people in our country have jobs and that quality products continue to be made here,” says Tervis President and CEO, Pat Redmond. “We are proud to support John in his efforts to educate consumers about the importance of supporting American manufacturers.”

Tervis is the innovator of insulated drinkware, having made its products here in the USA since 1946. Tervis employs more than 800 people at its factory in North Venice, Florida. The company also sources most of its materials from local sources.

Also at the Tervis showroom will be artist Caroline Simas on Friday, Jan. 10th from 5-6pm.
