Appleton, WI – The Gathered Earth gift and home decor shop has been housed inside a shed at Lowney’s Landscaping Center in the Town of Center for more than two years.

But when Lowney’s needed the space for its own expansion, it put the gift store up for sale.

Erica Smith, who had worked in the shop from day one and became its manager in January, jumped at the opportunity. She and husband Andy bought it, cleared out the shop in mid-May and moved merchandise to Appleton.
