The stage is set for Halloween & Party Expo 2016

The Halloween & Party Expo announced highlights planned for this year’s event, which will be held Jan. 22-25, 2016, in New Orleans. The Halloween and Party Expo serves the combined Halloween and party industries, bringing together thousands of retailers each year. By working with new partners, the event promises to be a memorable experience in 2016.

Welcoming attendees and setting the stage for the products and services on the show floor will be the Halloween & Party Expo Haunted House. The haunted house brings celebration and fun of the industry to life for attendees with an experience to transport them to this haunted attraction. The event has teamed up with K.Studios, a New Orleans design company focusing on decimated architecture for haunted attractions and themed events to re-create a New Orleans cemetery faced with crumbling brick and plaster detail. Throughout our Haunted House, themed characters will be found roaming through, from zombies and Dia de los Muertos characters to traditional vampires, Frankenstein’s monster and werewolves.

Additionally, the event is working with holographic technology, produced by Zebra Imprints, to create a realistic, three-dimensional experience of a ghoulish figure that will make its appearance just outside the cemetery walls. This new technology provides an interactive way for attendees to experience the event.

Continuing with the theme of celebration, daily parades produced by New Orleans own Secret Moonbase Productions will weave through the show floor and lead attendees to daily afternoon cocktail events, appropriately titled the Bloody Mary Mixer. “We’re excited to offer the industry something new, something exciting during the show,” said Mike Carlucci of Urban Expositions. “The industry’s focus is on fun and celebration, and it was important to us that we make sure the show reflects this message, as well as provide an exceptional platform for doing business.”

As previously announced, the event has partnered with the Independent Retailer Conference (IRC) to provide an engaging and interactive learning platform focused on the needs of the independent retailer. The IRC pop-up sessions are 15 minutes long and will take place Friday, Jan. 22 and Saturday, Jan. 23 on the show floor, featuring content from Refund Retriever, RETAILMavens, ConstantContact, Coffee Mobile, SFS Funding, Square, and Rich Kizer & Georganne Bender, international retail experts, to name a few.

On Friday, Jan. 22, the newly reformatted industry party, The Brewing – Boos and Booze, will take place at Generations Hall. This costume themed event, open to all badge-holders, is an opportunity for the industry to gather together after day one for a night of celebration with old friends and new.
