Third Annual Las Vegas Market CEO Summit Draws Top Industry Leaders

A highly successful Winter 2015 Las Vegas Market recently concluded, delivering record-breaking numbers for attendance and exhibitors, as well as an impressive roster of exclusive programming, highlighted by the third annual CEO Summit. Drawing a who’s-who of executive leaders from across the US, the event is sponsored by International Market Centers (IMC) and Eller Enterprises.

The CEO Summit runs over the course of two days and offers executives a unique opportunity to network with peers across multiple industry platforms, providing an ideal forum for discussions facing the industry today, as well as myriad learning opportunities directly applicable to their businesses.

“For the past three winters, Las Vegas Market has held this one-of-a-kind event and it continues to add value for executives attending our show,” said Robert Maricich, Chief Executive Officer of IMC. “The CEO Summit is consistently well-attended and continues to draw top executives from top tier companies, who want cutting-edge information so they can better lead their companies and the industry into the future.”

“The CEO Summit always makes me think more strategically about our direction,” said Eric Dean, Chief Executive Officer, Wheroware. “Being able to combine insights from world-class experts with the advice of industry leaders is of huge value to us.”

Opening the event was keynote Speaker Ron Insana, Senior Analyst with CNBC, economist and financial industry expert, who gave attendees an economic forecast for the next 12-15 months. His projections were particularly relevant to furniture, gift and home décor executives, helping to determine buying and inventory decisions into 2016.

“The CEO Summit provides a variety of high-level insight and ideas across economics, finance, business strategy, marketing and more,” said Lois Del Negro, Chief Financial Officer, Global Views. “We sponsored this year’s event and see it as a tremendous opportunity for senior level management and ownership across the furniture, home décor and gift industries.”

The keynote speaker on day two was Andreas Weigend, former Chief Scientist for Amazon and Director of Social Data Lab. He captivated the audience with a masterful presentation on the growth of technology and its impact on the world, commerce in particular.

Other speakers included Tom Morris, Chairman of the Morris Institute for Human Values, Morehead Scholar at UNC-Chapel Hill, and former Philosophy professor at the University of Notre Dame, who offered a philosophical approach to running a business using sage advice from philosophers throughout world history. Steve Baker, Vice President, The Great Game of Business, Inc. gave a well-received presentation on the advantages of being transparent with employees to achieve better performance. Lastly, Kent Panther, Senior Vice President with Wray Ward Creative Communications, shared measurement and analytical tools companies can use to demonstrate ROI for marketing, advertising and social media expenditures.

“The CEO Summit was a great success at Winter Las Vegas Market – producing our highest attendance yet and doubling the number of companies supporting our efforts,” said Randy Eller, President of Eller Enterprises. “Drawn by a remarkable list of speakers, our attendees learned valuable lessons about the economy, technology, marketing, and management, tools which they can now use to make their already successful businesses grow even faster. It was our pleasure to have provided an event of this kind to the industry.”

The CEO Summit is co-produced by IMC and Eller Enterprises, and sponsored by leading sales agencies, key industry service providers and top suppliers.
