‘Trinity Treasures’ Provides a New Take on Old World Elegance
With vintage charm and Old World styling, the new “Trinity Treasures” collection from Abbey Press celebrates Celtic heritage and evokes authentic Irish tradition.
The line, designed by giftware artist Amie Jones, includes a wood plaque with metal embellishment (SRP $14), wood keepsake box ($18), and a resin wall cross ($18), photo frame ($20) and garden stone ($26). The resin pieces feature a distressed wood look with an antique copper-finish embellishment and sculpted decorative bands. The stained wood look carried through on all the pieces is rendered in tones of chestnut, walnut and Irish Sea green.
The centerpiece of each item is the Trinity Knot, a popular Celtic design motif, representing the unity of the three Persons of the Trinity, as well as God’s unending life and love. In keeping with the Trinity Knot-inspired design, the sentiments in the line echo traditional Irish blessings – invoking the Trinity’s grace, love and peace.
Cathy Altman, Abbey Press Key Accounts Manager who specializes in accounts purchasing Irish-themed products, feels the new line is poised to perform well, “because the Trinity Knot is a familiar, beloved symbol. Irish consumers hold their faith very dear, so these products will speak to them in a meaningful way.” The Trinity Treasures collection debuts September 1.
Abbey Press is known in the gift industry for its distinctive Irish products and was one of five companies named 2011 Gift Supplier of the Year by the North American Celtic Trade Association, in recognition of “outstanding product development and customer service.” Altman attributes the company’s success with Irish products to careful listening to customers. “Not only do we offer affordably priced, good quality products,” says Altman, “but we also ask for our customers’ input and take it to heart.” She emphasizes that “we understand this market, follow it, research it and continually refresh our interpretation of it.”
