Urban Cottage changes address
Maryland — If you’re looking for the Urban Cottage gift and decor store, you’ll find it at larger quarters.
The business, owned by Betty Wenthold, has relocated her business from 43 E. Patrick St. to 107 E. Patrick St.
The new location, just a few doors away, became available at about the time Wenthold’s lease was expiring, so she took the advantage to expand.
“It worked out perfectly because it allowed us a couple months overlap so we could use our old window to redirect customers to our new location,” she said. “The concern when you move is your customers may think you’ve closed, rather than relocated.”
Wenthold likes the new location.
“It is about twice the size, so that gives us more room to bring in new products,” she said. “We kept our focus on ‘all-things-girl,’ from newborn to grandmother.”
