West-End Shops Join Forces For Marketing, Advertising
Fort Wayne, IN – Eleven small businesses on the west side of Fort Wayne have joined forces in a loose amalgamation to market their goods and services under the umbrella of West End Shops.
The shops have a lot in common. They’re all owned and operated by women and are along the tree-lined streets and offbeat paths in the area west of Calhoun Street to Lindenwood Cemetery, 2324 W. Main St., on the east.
Late summer last year, conversations among Debbie Woodroof, owner of Sweet Violets Tea and Antiques, 503 W. Wayne St.; her neighbor Emiley Roman, owner of Emiley’s Haute Cottage, 515 W. Wayne St.; Janet Braun, owner of Maisie and Maude, 1529 W. Main St.; and Jon Allmandinger of William & Wagner Advertising, also at 503 W. Wayne St., got things rolling on the subject of how they could more effectively and economically advertise their stores.
