Wholesalecrafts.com Hires Buyer Services Representative
(Mooresville, NC) — Wholesalecrafts.com, Inc., producers of the American Craft Retailers Expo (ACRE) show, has hired Nanette Asbury as Buyer Services Representative, to service and recruit retailers for Wholesalecrafts.com’s online shopping service and the ACRE show.
“I am excited about joining the Wholesalecrafts.com team,” said Nanette. “I look forward to assisting retailers to get the most from their buying experience both online and at ACRE.”
Nanette’s experience as artist and owner of Nanette Orijinels Inc. (established in 1988), and founder of Nanette’s Spirit of the Hand Gallery, Brookville, FL (in 2004) has well-prepared her for the role of Buyer Services Representative. As a registered buyer and successful artist member of Wholesalecrafts.com since 2001, and exhibitor of the ACRE show, Nanette brings a host of knowledge and understanding from both perspectives to the Wholesalecrafts.com team.
A recent graduate of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh with a diploma in Digital Design, and former Fashion Design graduate of Parson’s School of Design, Nanette is highly motivated. Her responsibilities include assisting retailers to source products from Wholesalecrafts.com’s 1,300 American and Canadian artist members; recruiting new retailers to use the web service and attend ACRE, May 31 – June 2, 2009 in Las Vegas, NV; and educating retailers on how to most effectively shop online.
Registered retailers gain free access to Wholesalecrafts.com, where they can source handmade craft products anytime day or night using the web site’s easy search functions. Retailers also receive Wholesalecrafts.com’s printed Buyer’s Guide catalogs, mailed four times a year, an online show planner, and a weekly email newsletter with product images. The web service boasted $3,031,937 in online sales in 2007. September 2008 showed a record breaking sales figure of $400,585 in online sales. Artist members pay a fee for membership. No commissions are charged on sales.
