Fort Dodge, IA – Often people in the corporate work-world want to start their own business. That was certainly true for one Fort Dodge woman who left her job to pursue a dream.

“I love it… it’s nice to have that job where I don’t have to have somebody telling me oh do this or do that. I can kind of do whatever I want… and enjoy my job now,” says Melissa Hansen.

Hansen left a job as a nurse to open KaLeiDasCope Gifts. Her consignment shop has one difference. She features products that have a local touch, made by people from the area.
