Women and Tools: A Conundrum or Myth
With the increased numbers of professional women in the workforce they find themselves in a dilemma when it comes to simple “fix it” projects around the home. Does a woman wield a sludge hammer to hang a picture or call a handyman? Tiffany’s Tools announces the first and only patented designer household toolkit on the market for woman. Combining an elegant patent leather hatbox design for the case with the seven essential tools required for most household needs the toolkit appeals to woman with a sense of style.
Tiffany Koepke, the company’s President says; “the concept arose when I moved out of my parents’ home into an apartment. I knew I needed tools, but everything on the market was either for men or was cheap!” As a professional ballerina Tiffany has a strong sense of design and elegance. She exudes an Audrey Hepburn sense of flair.
Tiffany started working on this project in late 2009. She assembled a team of designers, tool experts and business leaders. In ballet you have to get it right the first time. She carried this disciplined approach into her company.
Initial response from the market has been spectacular. Scott Kramer, Director of Leasing for the New York International Gift Fair said, “We knew that their designer toolkit would be a big hit. We heard several comments from buyers that they had never seen anything like it and what a fabulous idea!”
Tiffany’s Tools are packaged in a sleek and sophisticated black patent leather hat box and features the seven basic tools that are needed in any household. According to Harry Clark, the company’s CEO, “the tools are lifetime quality and will handle just about anything needed around the house. If it isn’t included in the kit it’s likely time to call a specialist!”
The company proudly proclaims that a unique aspect of the toolkit is that it can be displayed as a design accessory anywhere in the house. Whereas most toolkits available to date have been kept in closets, garages and drawers.
Tiffany’s Tools is working on new offerings for the future, but is presently available at gift shops and boutiques across the US and internationally. They retail for $79.95 and are also available on the company’s website at www.tiffanystools.com.
