Woodstock Chimes® Brings Peace to the Summer Markets
Shokan, N.Y. — Woodstock Chimes®, a leading manufacturer of precision-tuned windchimes, is set to unveil its latest eastern world-influenced and tranquility-focused products this July. The new products include line extensions of the Woodstock Chakra Chimes™ and the Woodstock Reflections™ collections, which debuted during the 2010 winter market season. In addition, the company will also introduce two new bells. All of the latest products can be seen at the upcoming Atlanta International Gift and Home Furnishings Market® in July, as well as the New York and Chicago gift shows.
Woodstock Chakra Chimes and Woodstock Reflections Series Expansions
Since the debut of the company’s Woodstock Chakra Chimes and Woodstock Reflections series, the products have become very popular, resulting in line expansions for both. The Woodstock Chakra Chimes combine color and sound to underscore the ancient meaning of the major energy centers of the human body. According to tradition, there are seven basic chakras, which correlate to the seven main nerve ganglia emanating from the spinal column. The Seven Stones Chime features seven colorful stones, which are aligned in an ascending column, just as the seven chakras are aligned along the spine. The chime is intended to remind all of the strength of mind over matter and, through sound, give all a small window into the balance of the physical and metaphysical. The chime measures 17.5″ in length and retails for $20.00
The Woodstock Reflections line is comprised of chimes designed for those who want to remember the dearly departed, inspire others or themselves, or spend time in meditation or quiet contemplation. The four new products showcase the words “Joy,” “Dream,” “Love,” and “Live, Love, Laugh,” each with a specific meaning. “Joy” is to inspire those to find joy in the world, treat every day as a holiday and celebrate the wonders of the world, large and small. “Dream” is a reminder to follow one’s dreams wherever they may take you. “Love” prompts one to find love, but it is also a reminder to give love, and give it generously – it will come back many times over. “Live, Love, Laugh” focuses on enjoying life, finding loves and seeing the humor in one’s self and others, which will serve one well. The chimes measure 18″ in length and retail for $20.00. Additional Woodstock Reflections products will also debut at the summer markets.
New Bell Products Feature Eastern World-Influenced Designs
The newest bells introduced by Woodstock Chimes are the Woodstock Dragon Bells™ and Woodstock Nazar Bells™. The eastern world-influenced design of the Dragon Bells feature two Timsha bells, which are often used to help focus at the beginning and end of meditation and can also be played as a musical instrument. The bells feature a double dragon design, which, is a symbol reflective of waking up and increasing what an individual can understand and communicate. A silkscreen Tibetan Aum symbol graces the bells’ feather and signifies the belief that all is one in this world. This unique piece produces a lovely, pure tone each time the bells strike one other and can be played by the wind or manually by manipulating the windcatcher. The bells measure 23.5″ in length and retail for $40.00.
The Woodstock Nazar Bells™ design and name are derived from the word nazar, which is a common protective talisman in the Middle East. As featured on the Nazar Bells, the traditional nazar design is a disk or ball with concentric blue and white circles, resembling that of an eye. Folklore says the “staring eye charms” are supposed to send an evil eye back to its originator. In Turkey this popular symbol is commonly found in or on houses and vehicles, and is often used as beads in jewelry. The Nazar Bells, comprised of five nickel-plated steel bells with glass and wood bead accents, are to be hung to protect one’s home or garden environment and ward it of evil. The bells measure 20.5″ in length and retail for $50.00.
