Work from Global Artisans Comes to Temple Terrace
Temple Terrace, FL – Barbara Cloud-Weisman is living her dream.
The retired exceptional childhood education teacher has opened Silver Linings, an eclectic-type retail shop at 10931 N. 56th St. in the Sherwood Forest Center, which provides the perfect venue for her longtime desires to play out.
Dubbed a “doll house” by one of store’s first-time visitors, its three separate showrooms are filled with a wide assortment of one-of-a-kind vintage and handcrafted articles, many of which were made by artisans in developing countries.
In fact, Silver Linings is an alliance store for Ten Thousand Villages, a global network of entrepreneurs working to empower and provide economic opportunities for the poor in those nations. The organization was founded in 1946 and built around the fundamentals of fair trade.
