Morristown, NJ – Common sense might dictate that Kathleen Hyland, co-owner of Ginty’s Irish Gifts, a longtime retail fixture on Dehart Street, would be busy Saturday during the annual St. Patrick’s Day parade down South Street.

Hyland won’t be in the store. She’ll be marching in the parade as she always has. Her sister, Mary Parker, who owns the store with Hyland, will be minding the store and unable to join the fun.

“No, because she’s always out there prancing around and I have to put up with it,” Parker said in a good-natured way Wednesday, which marked the 28th year the sisters have been in business selling goods from the Emerald Isle.
