Zutano’s spring/summer 2009 collection offers a surprising show of multi-cultural flair and modern designs that create a trans-seasonal look. Minimal styling, a fresh color palette and the signature mix of brights and low voltage midtones result in confident color and pattern combinations. With the introduction of a woven program for Babies as well as Toddler sizes, the styling explores new construction methods and completes the fun and quirkylayered style look. Our everyday essentials with a dash of daring.

Themes
For Girls: Designed with inspiration drawn from mother’s kitchen – sunlight through pastel Seersucker checked curtains, the delicate florals of a vintage dishcloth still damp. Your favorite dress is as light and fluttery as butterfly wings. Aromas of freshly-mowed grass and sweet baked Petit Fours mingling in the warm afternoon air of a Cottage Garden. Colors, gentle and soft, swim through gingham print and stripe with the ease of a lazy summer day: skin-soft pink, sun-kissed lemon, perfect apple green, tart raspberry and limitless sky. Be inspired to get outside and see what nature and the world around us have in store for the happy days of summer.
For Boys: The season beholds the memory of the countryside and the small town, with its schoolhouses, barnyards, organic gardens and the skills of carpenters, gardeners and builders providing inspiration for prints. Solid color rip stop fabric and printed poplins will be the fresh new addition to The Zutano fabric and pattern mix. A geometric check, a retro stitch, and a playful numbers print are all part of the summer Travel section mix for boys. Practical details for active tots include reinforced patches, oversized pockets and velcro fastenings. Sunny yellow, soft grey stone, and the deepening blue of rolling clouds reflect the clean classic summer.
