Iota To Unveil 2008 Collection at National Stationery Show

Basalt, Colo. — Iota is pleased to announce its brand new collection for 2008. Nine new signature iota patterns will adorn paper goods including folded notecards, boxed notecard sets, gift wrap, journals, gift tags, notebooks and more. A selection of these new iotas will be printed on recycled papers. In addition, iota will offer organizational items for home, office and school — a selection of stylish pocket folders and file folders in existing iota designs. All new products will be on display at the National Stationery Show, May 18 – 21, 2008, in New York at booth number 2548.

New Patterns
This season’s nine patterns represent an eclectic mix of inspiration from iota designer Kelly Alford. Stirred by aerial views as well as everyday objects, the designs feature inventive and playful geometric forms — the cornerstone of iota’s fresh aesthetic — and an always vibrant color palette.

“The 2008 collection was a dream to create — these nine new patterns come from a well of personal experience and everyday inspiration coupled with one of the best color palettes we’ve ever offered,” says Alford. “The subjects in this year’s line evolved from a very organic design process, as they always do.”

Taking cues from the animal kingdom, Peacock Flower and Rainbow Trout infuse the clever use of plumage and scales, respectively. Fashionable Houndstooth intelligently mimics today’s trend-setting fabric. Clean Laundry imagines a stack of freshly pressed tea towels, while Pomegranate colorfully plays with this healthiest of fruits. Vermont Fields reveals an abstract view of the rolling New England landscape. Visually witty, Links and Wavy employ smart geometric compositions that really catch the eye. And Buttons captures the fun chaos of a favorite sewing drawer.

New Products
In addition to iota’s stationery line-up, the trend-setting designer will offer pocket folders and file folders perfect for home, office and school. Pocket folders will be sold as a set of three in existing patterns (Kaleidescope, Wild Rose and Sadye) and include easy peel & stick custom labels. File folders will come in a set of six, also in previous existing patterns (Kaleidescope, Sadye and Beach Towel) with peel & stick custom tab labels.

A new boxed note set, Joan’s Geraniums, rounds out iota’s latest for 2008. The set contains 12 blank notecards with coordinating envelopes, four cards each of the same design exploring three different colorways.

Recycled iotas for 2008
Green is iota’s favorite color. Currently, iota works with a Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified printer to produce nearly all of its treasured stationery essentials. Paper is harvested from sustainable forests and soy inks are used in the printing process. New for the 2008 collection, iota offers a mix of 66%, 50%, 40% and 20 – 25% recycled papers in its hardcover legacy journals, foldover notecard sets, boxed notecard sets, gift wrap and tall books.

Iota’s new catalogue will be available at the National Stationery Show, booth #2548, and available for review online in mid-May. For more information about iota, please visit www.everyiota.com.
