Taliesin Bookstore to debut new apparel, home accessories at Milwaukee Craft Show

TALIESIN, SPRING GREEN, Wis.– Taliesin Bookstore at Taliesin, the Wisconsin home of Frank Lloyd Wright for nearly 50 years, will showcase new scarves, ties, decorative tiles, throws and other home accessories from the Frank Lloyd Wright Collection at the third annual Fine Furnishings and Fine Craft Show in the Milwaukee Midwest Airlines Center September 27–28.

“Taliesin Bookstore, which is making its second appearance at this prestigious show, is unique among the 150 national artisans scheduled to participate,” said Carol Johnson, president of Taliesin Preservation, Inc. “Our booth will feature beautiful specialty items, largely home accessories, furniture and lighting in additional to the apparel, which were either designed by or inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright, the most influential architect in American culture. All of the items are licensed as part of the Frank Lloyd Wright Collection.”

The collection represents the work of numerous licensees worldwide who are authorized by the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation to produce high quality merchandise based on Wright’s designs. Some of the collection pieces are exact replicas, such as furniture pieces, vases, and lighting. Other merchandise selections are decorative home and office products using Wright’s designs. These include art glass, writing instruments, desk accessories, wall art, and floor coverings. Licensing revenues support the mission of education, scholarship, design and research of the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation and Taliesin.

Taliesin Bookstore’s retail headquarters is located in the Frank Lloyd Wright Visitor Center in Spring Green, Wis. Catalog and online shopping of its extensive line of home furnishings, gifts and garden accessories, as well as a vast selection of publications on Frank Lloyd Wright, architecture, and the decorative arts, are also available.
