Unique Gift & Cafe offers shopping, dining with a view
At Unique Gift & Café Shoppe in Gulf Breeze, the atmosphere is cool and breezy. And with a view of Pensacola Bay —— whether you’re sitting on the sprawling deck or in the cozy café area, the ambience makes for a perfect venue for a lunch date, or a chance to browse around for a gift for someone special.
But that’s not all that this quaint two-story shop that sits just below the Pensacola Bay Bridge at 47 Gulf Breeze Parkway has to offer.
“We also have a private room upstairs for people who might want to have events like baby showers, birthday parties or prayer group meetings,” said Lisa Blocker, co-owner of the shop. The room can seat 15 to 18 people.
Blocker and her sister, Ashley McLellan, are owners of the new and improved store. The store recently moved from its previous location at 211 Gulf Breeze Parkway, where it only carried gifts, and was called Unique Gift Shoppe.
Now, with the addition of a café in a 4,000-square-foot building, which nearly doubles the size of its old location, it is fast becoming a popular destination for area residents. The cafe sits on the water and offers breathtaking views of the bay and sunsets. A small marina behind the eatry allows boaters, who might be on a morning or afternoon outing, to dock, shop and dine.
“They can pull up at the back, come in and eat or get it to go,” Blocker said.
For other customers who might want to grab a bite to eat and do some work on their laptops at the same time, no worries, “because we also have (free) WiFi,” Blocker said.
