Store centers on family, faith
Teresa Haney and her daughters are a close-knit bunch. They shop together, hang out together – do pretty much everything together. So it makes perfect sense that they have started a business together.
Haney and her daughter Emily Sneed opened the doors of Creative Treasures, on Main Street across from Town Hall, on July 3, selling gift baskets and religious supplies in what they describe as a homey and family-friendly atmosphere.
“We have gift baskets for pretty much any occasion,” Haney said. “We have them for birthdays, baby showers and engagement showers, and we will make them customized if people if they order them.”
While the baskets are the duo’s main focus, the store also sells Bibles and inspirational books, as half their store serves as a Christian bookstore.
“I thought Andrews would benefit from having a Bible bookstore where people wouldn’t have to drive out of downtown for one,” Haney said.
