OmegaNet enters 30th year serving the gift, home industry
OmegaNet, developer of the CAMEO EZ wholesale ordering platform and publisher of the GiftsWholesale.com family of wholesale portals, will begin its 30th year of operation in November, marking three decades of helping gift, home, garden, accessories, apparel, décor, toy and gourmet vendors connect with retail buyers online.
Founded in 1997 in the Atlanta area, OmegaNet was among the early companies to focus on business-to-business ecommerce for the gift and home industry. Through its proprietary CAMEO EZ platform, OmegaNet has built and supported hundreds of wholesale websites, giving vendors tools for secure retailer registration, online ordering, reorders, volume discounts, case quantities and other wholesale-specific requirements.
“When OmegaNet began, many people doubted that retail stores would ever buy inventory on the Internet,” said Toni Ivey, founder and president of OmegaNet. “Thirty years later, online wholesale ordering has become an essential part of the way vendors and retailers do business. We are grateful to the clients and retailers who helped build that future with us.”
OmegaNet’s wholesale portals and CAMEO EZ Community have connected tens of thousands of registered retailers with real wholesale sources across multiple product categories. Several vendor clients have remained with OmegaNet for 15, 20 and even 25 years, reflecting the company’s long-term role as a technology and marketing partner in the industry.
As OmegaNet begins its 30th year, the company continues to expand its services for wholesale vendors, including online ordering, ecommerce support, email marketing, industry portal advertising and new tools designed to make buying and selling more efficient at markets, shows and in the field, such as the recently launched CAMEOSCAN app for iPad.
