THE GOOD BEAD’s innovation is driving strong growth!

Minnetonka, MN – Undeterred by the Great Recession, The Good Bead has seen tremendous growth. The company began its journey five years ago with a single bracelet created to help raise funds and awareness in the fight against breast cancer. During these past five years a continued focus on innovation, new product development and offering retailers high margin/high turn products have generated sales increases of over 100% every year. And based on the popularity of its Bauble LuLu collection, 2010 sales are on track to triple.

We are committed to offering our retail partners unique and stylish products at affordable retail price points. Looking to this summer show season, The Good Bead is pleased to announce the introduction of over 200 new beads, charms and accessories for it’s popular interchangeable jewelry collection – Bauble LuLu™. These new items will be available late June, and include several innovative new accessories that allow for even more personalization. In addition to expanding Bauble LuLu, The Good Bead is putting the finished touches on five other new product lines as well.

“Our first quarter sales increased over 400% from last year. And while other companies were downsizing, we continued to add new talent to our team” says Miller. “We began 2009 with 10 employees and currently we have 38 full and part time employees.”

The Good Bead continues its philanthropic means by partnering with a local organization called Opportunity Partners. Opportunity Partners supports people with disabilities and other special needs in their effort to improve their self-sufficiency at work, at home, and in the community. They come in each day and help with product packaging.

“In addition to being a good vendor partner, we also feel a responsibility to give back to our local community. Interacting with the Opportunity Partners team is one of the highlights of my day. Their unique and positive perspective makes it nearly impossible not to come away feeling good” says Miller.

“It is important for all of us to have a sense of purpose and accomplishment in our lives.”

The Good Bead has developed lines such as Bauble LuLu, Twa La! (an interchangeable fashion ring line), and many others. And there’s more to come.

Miller says “We can’t wait to share our newest collections at the Summer shows. If you would have told me five years ago where we would be today I never would have believed you. And now, with all the new concepts and extensions we have in the pipeline for this summer and January 2011, the future has never looked brighter!”
