After Enduring Illnesses of Loved Ones, Twin Sisters Develop Hope Stone Greeting Card

The launching of Simple Gifts of Hope at the Seattle Gift Show is the uplifting result of twin sisters’ personal experiences of family illness that uncovered the need for a gift that inspires hope when people need it the most.

Chris Gould and Cathie Whithorne created the Hope Stone housed in a beautiful package that is meant to inspire. “Our message is HOPE,” they said.

During the terminal illness of their mother, and the treatment and recovery of Cathie’s husband, the sisters discovered the importance of facing difficult times with hope.

“With these cards offering three distinct messages of hope accompanied by a Hope Stone that can be held or displayed, people can present a simple and heartwarming gift offering a gentle suggestion to choose to live each day with hope,” Cathie said.

The three messages available are Simple Gifts, Footprints, and the Serenity Prayer.

The smooth, engraved Hope Stone is held in one’s hand and is meant to lighten burdens. The gift offers comfort to someone facing difficult or challenging times, often taking their minds off of the fear and uncertainty.
