307 First Buy Local Campaign Hopes to Make a Difference
Casper, WY – A new state-wide buy-local organization, 307 First, held a rally in Casper on Feb. 2 to encourage individuals in Wyoming to consider the benefit of spending persoanl money in their local economies.
Robert Moberly of Wyoming Financial Insurance told the crowd of more than 100 people that the reason they had gathered was very simple: preservation of local jobs. Moberly is a veteran shop-local advocate and critic of organizations funded with public money, specifically public schools and colleges, that hire out-of-state construction companies to build schools.
307 First is new but already has a state-wide footprint. Charles Cloud, owner of the Technical Cowboy, an auto repair business in Cody and husband of State Auditor Cynthia Cloud, is a board member of the new organization.
