Put a Little Glam in Your Game with Glitter Girlz Headbandz

Jacki Ralph, a high school cross country coach and her 17-year-old daughter, Abby Ralph, are the founders of Glitter Girlz Headbandz, a company that makes an affordable headband that is designed to stay on an athlete’s head no matter what type of sports you’re playing.

In five short months, the mother-daughter team has sold over 3500 headbands through simple facebook marketing. They have 28 ¾” glitter colored bandz and more than 40 5/8″ polka dot grosgrain styles of headbands with plans to launch a summer line-up as well as a fall line. Designed for ages 3 and up!

“We started our business for two reasons,” said Abby Ralph, the young entrepreneur in charge of production, sales and quality control. “The first reason was because we wanted our cross country team to have headbands that did not fall out while we were running that they could actually afford to buy. And, the second reason was because I needed an afterschool job :o)”

All Glitter Girlz Headbandz are made right here in the USA. They are not mass produced or outsourced. They are hand-made by the mother-daughter team in their kitchen.

“There are lots of glitter headbands on the market today,” said designer and company founder Jacki Ralph. “Many of them are expensive, made of paper ribbon that sheds glitter or they simply are not backed with the right material to keep them in place during a workout. We set out to make something better that was more affordable to the athlete.”

Glitter Girlz Headbandz are made of high quality metallic velvet fabric ribbon. So, while they shine like glitter, they really do not have any glitter in them thus, they do not shed glitter either. Glitter Girlz Headbandz are backed with a special fabric that makes them very comfortable to wear and keeps them in place during activity. They are not stitched along the edges so they don’t pucker. The bandz are simple, yet highly functional for not only sports teams, but for a stylish look as well.

“One of our favorite things is when entire teams order our headbandz,” said Abby. “They look so cool out on the track, the court or the field. Cheerleaders love them, softball, cross country, soccer, basketball, volleyball and track teams really love them, as well as show choir kids. They make athletes stand out above the others, and if you look good you feel good, and if you feel good you perform better.”

Glitter Girlz Headbandz really are just fun and so sparkly pretty. They are simple and highly stylish, as well as highly functional. The silver diamond headband that Charlize Theron wore at the Golden Globes was actually mistaken for a silver Glitter Girlz Headband by many Glitter Girlz Headbandz’ fans. These bandz are a high quality made product. Girls from grade school to college are wearing them and can’t seem to get enough of them. Even fashion savvy moms love them!

Glitter Girlz Headbandz is an avid supporter of Breast Cancer research and has done several events to help support the cause with their raspberry pink glitter, sweet pea pink glitter and pretty pink glitter headbandz. http://glittergirlzheadbandz.com/headbandz-for-a-cause.html “We would love to one day be the official headband of Breast Cancer Awareness,” says Abby.

The Glitter Girlz Headbandz workshop is currently located in the kitchen of their home in Springfield, Illinios. Log on to the website or facebook page to learn more http://glittergirlzheadbandz.com/
