Although few people want to talk about it, the holiday season is just around the corner.

The fun holiday, Halloween, is just a week away. For this holiday, we all can gather up candy and gorge ourselves.

The same can be said for Thanksgiving and Christmas, as well. It seems gorging ourselves is also a holiday tradition.

But another tradition comes with Christmas and that is shopping. We all grumble about it and never know what to get our closest relatives. Yet somehow we always mange.

This year, Christmas will once again be a trying time for many people. The struggling economy isn’t rebounding as quickly as anyone would like.

That is a fact.

One thing everyone should try to keep in mind when it comes to shopping is trying to purchase things on a local basis.
