NCA 2014 Conference & Expo Will Draw Candle Industry Leaders to Louisvillein June
The much-anticipated National Candle Association (NCA) Conference & Expo will be held this year from June 2-6 at the Louisville Marriott Downtown.
The annual industry conference, which includes technical presentations and workshops, networking events, industry updates, and a suppliers’ trade show, draws hundreds of NCA members and non-members from around the country.
This year’s technical program will feature presentations on the market and price drivers for vegetable waxes, color-trend analysis and forecasting, and factors impacting candle discoloration. Conference participants can also register for two reserved-seating workshop sessions, one on resolving wick challenges and the other on fragrances and consumer behavior.
NCA’s Expo, the longest-running supplier’s show in the global candle industry, will take place from noon to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 4. The event showcases the latest product innovations and technologies available from leading wax producers, wick suppliers, fragrance houses, equipment manufacturers and other supply-chain vendors.
The conference officially concludes Thursday, June 5, with NCA’s annual business meeting, keynote speaker, group luncheon, afternoon technical program, and closing evening gala. Friday morning is reserved for a meeting of the ASTM F-15.45 Candle Fire Safety Task Group, which is open to the public.
Additional information about the 2014 NCA Conference & Expo, including registration and exhibitor materials, will be posted to the homepage of NCA’s website, www.candles.org, in mid-March.
