Small Business Event to Expand
Lompoc, CA – A movement to encourage residents and tourists to shop locally has now expanded its goals to include every small business in town, including medical offices and museums.
New Shop Lompoc! Shop Small! events were announced for May 17 and Nov. 29, said Ken Ostini, president of the Lompoc Valley Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau. Business owners and local nonprofits met Thursday night at the Veterans Memorial Building to unveil the new tagline for the events — Shop Lompoc, Live Lompoc, Eat Lompoc, Sip Lompoc, Stay Lompoc, Play Lompoc.
Any businesses that fall under the new tagline will be included on a postcard to be distributed around town, Ostini said in a press release.
