Ithaca, NY – Sunny Days … A New York Marketplace, featuring locally and regionally made art, music, crafts, food, and other Finger Lakes-themed gifts, is joining the ranks of downtown Ithaca businesses with a grand opening slated for April 1. Owner Deirdre Kurzweil says the location— at the corner of Green and Cayuga streets across from the library—will help draw in the out-of-town crowd, but the merchandise will bring in locals who love all that upstate has to offer.

Kurzweil is a retail business veteran, having owned a specialty toy store in Baltimore before selling it in 2004 to move back to Ithaca to raise her son. “I have missed being in a retail environment where you get to meet and interact with new, interesting people every day,” Kurzweil said. “And I love Ithaca, I feel lucky to live in such a special place and wanted to do something to highlight its many amazing qualities, like the natural environment, art, music, food, and spirit.”
