When Leslie Sink walks into a store or a coffee shop, she notices if the worker at the counter fails to acknowledge her.

She doesn’t like it.

At the four Hi-Ho Silver jewelry stores that she and her husband own in the region, she insists that that never happens. Regular customers receive written thank-you notes and phone calls about new products. Necklaces, earrings and bracelets are on display – no matter their price – and available for touching and trying. Children color with crayons or get lollipops to give their parents freedom to browse.
