Interior, floral designers explore Pantone color trends in AmericasMart Vignette Exhibition

One of the most powerful elements in design language comes to life in AmericasMart Atlanta’s next vignette gallery presentation “In Living Color.” Six interior designers and six floral designers are collaborating on all new vignette presentations that boldly portray what’s ahead in design as they explore the PANTONEVIEW home + interiors color forecast and the Color of the Year for 2018.

Interior designers Brian Patrick Flynn, André Hilton, Corey Damen Jenkins, Margaret Kirkland, Mallory Mathison and Chris Socci are paired with floral designers Holly Bryan, Michal Evans, Laura Iarocci, Canaan Marshall, Amy Osaba, Kathy Rainer and Ricky Wolfe to showcase the trending colors and themes. The PANTONEVIEW home + interiors 2018 color forecast palettes are Resourceful, Playful, Discretion, Verdure, Far-Fetched, Intricacy, Intensity and Tech-Nique.

Lobby vignettes inspired by the Color of the Year for 2018 are presented by Kristin Alber of REstyleSOURCE.

“Color is the first element in design DNA. We are thrilled to partner with AmericasMart Atlanta for the PANTONE Design Exhibition this January. As the leading Market for designers, retailers and buyers alike, we know Atlanta is a natural fit for showcasing the PANTONE Color of the Year 2018 and PANTONEVIEW home + interiors 2018 color forecast,” said Laurie Pressman, vice president of PANTONE Color Institute. “AmericasMart’s signature vignette design exhibition presents an unrivaled and unique opportunity to see first-hand how the color trends will be reflected throughout the home and gift industries in the year ahead.”

“AmericasMart is the ultimate designers’ resource, whether they are looking for inspiration for interiors, florals or events,” said David Savula, AmericasMart senior vice president of Leasing. “Our newest exhibition showcases how our trend-driven showrooms can help any designer make their visions come to life.”

In Living Color premieres at The Atlanta International Gift and Home Furnishings Market, January 9-16, 2018 (temporaries January 11-15) and will be available for viewing throughout Market and the months thereafter.

The gallery serves as the backdrop for AmericasMart’s designer programming. At the upcoming January Market, Pressman shares the colors and trends driving home design for 2018 and beyond with a behind-the-scenes view into the selection of the PANTONE Color of the Year 2018 in a presentation “INSPIRING AND EXPRESSING COLOR: Defining the Essential Trends for Home Furnishings in 2018.”

After Market, the gallery also plays a major role in AmericasMart’s expanded Open Year Round programming.

“The benefit of an installation like In Living Color is constant inspiration,” said Jenny Heinzen York, AmericasMart vice president of Home. “We encourage local and regional designers to visit the vignette gallery each time they come to AmericasMart to source for their projects.”

Celebration of the vignettes and Color of the Year expands to two nights with the January Market’s signature event, the Color of The Year Launch Party, on Friday, January 12 and the new Bloom Bash presented by Building 1, Floor 9 design showrooms who are sponsoring the exhibition on Saturday, January 13. Highlights of the Bloom Bash include entertainment, refreshments and the chance to win items from the exhibition.

In Living Color is presented by AmericasMart, “Flower Magazine,” and REstyleSOURCE in partnership with PANTONE Color Institute™ and sponsored by Creative Co-Op, HomArt, Caracole, Jaipur and select Building 1, Floor 9 exhibitors. Vignettes are displayed on Building 1, Floor 14, space 14-D-9, with additional vignettes in the lobbies of Buildings 1 and 2.
