Thurman started creating stationery to sell at craft fairs in 2005, and eight years later Smarty Pants Paper Co. became her full-time job. Bright colors and retro style define all of her work, and her cards are printed with a risograph to add to the quirky style of her brand. The Smarty Pants product line has evolved to include fun and functional gifts and accessories like socks and iron on patches. When she’s not at work, you can find Thurman hanging out with her husband, two daughters and two boston terriers, or skating with her local roller derby team.
