Janie is a political journalist turned greeting card entrepreneur. She started The Card Bureau, a design company specializing in smart and funny greeting cards and gifts, in 2016 as a side hustle that also served as a creative escape from election coverage. Since then, she’s built up the business from a shoebox of cards under her bed to a full-fledged operation serving hundreds of stores nationwide and internationally, including major retailers. She’s most proud of her first line of products that included the likeness of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and she even developed a personal connection to the late justice as a result of the line.
