BANDED is a maker with a mission to give-back to a variety of causes. In a recent interview with Amanda McKenzie, sales and merchandising associate for BANDED, this is what Gift Shop discovered.

What is your mission?

BANDED’s mission is to create great product while serving a greater purpose.

How do your products serve the mission?

BANDED’s 1=3 giveback program supports our food ministry partner, Food for the Poor, serving Latin America and the Caribbean. For every one product sold, we provide a full day’s worth of meals for a child in need. One (1) BANDED product = 3 meals served. It’s that simple. Launched in 2013 with a patented no-slip headband and a burning desire to make an impact, BANDED has provided more than 12 million meals for children in need. We are more than a headband.

BANDED offers a 1=3 Program to help give back

What are the plans for the future?

As a woman-owned, -led, -designed and -operated company, we are always looking for opportunities to support and lift-up other women. In addition to our current sustainability practices, BANDED is working toward 100% recycled/recyclable product packaging. We are constantly striving to be good stewards of the earth and looking for ways that we can do so as a company.

While we are proud of our original product, we have grown to be so much more. Our range of high-quality, giftable fashion accessories has expanded to meet the needs of the woman, baby, and capsule collections for the BANDED girl and man.
